I'm here. I'm stressed. I'm just like you.
Angie Emily Joseph was born and raised in Naples, Florida to Haitian parents. Her family had the mentality that it takes a village to raise a child, so she was really raised with over 15 distinct parent figures and 10 sibling figures. Angie also comes from an agricultural background. Growing up, she would spend time with her grandfather in his outdoor vegetable garden for hours on end. With her background, it’s no surprise that she gravitates towards vibrant and bold colors and pulls inspiration from nature.
Though she dabbles in most mediums, she is known for her use of pen and ink as well as pastels. Angie Emily Joseph has been drawing since she was five, her love of art truly took root when a family tragedy occurred. She painted seashells which is where she began to really understand the beauty and intensity life can bring. Her philosophy is to be her most authentic self and live her most authentic life. Angie is a graduate of the Florida Atlantic University’s Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College where she had major concentrations in Fine Art and Mathematics. In August 2022, she became an alumna of the Global Leaders Program. She hopes to one day own her own children’s art gallery. |
